How Sculptra® Works

Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid-based fillers that directly add volume under the skin, Sculptra® stimulates the body’s own collagen production to restore volume and tighten sagging skin. The active ingredient, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), is a synthetic form of lactic acid that is naturally produced by the body. It has been used in medicine for decades and is known for its ability to promote natural tissue regeneration.
