HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?

Potenza™ can be used as a one-time therapy before a big event to brighten and tighten the skin. For the best and long-lasting results, we recommend a series of at least three treatments.

Contraindications

• Patients with pacemakers

• Previous skin procedures with gold threads

• Tendency to form keloids

• Skin infections

• Pregnancy and/or breastfeeding

• Metal implants

• Implanted electronic devices that cannot be turned off or removed

• Nerve insensitivity

• Use of Roaccutane (isotretinoin) in the past 6+ months

• Diabetes

• Taking aspirin or prescribed antiplatelet agents, thrombolytics, anti-inflammatory or anticoagulants

• Bleeding disorders

• Allergy to adhesives, gold, or anesthetics

Precautionary criteria and precautions

• Tendency for fever blisters/cold sores: A prophylactic antiviral medication should be prescribed before the procedure

• Undiagnosed lesions: Must be evaluated before the procedure

• Use of retinoids in the past 7 days, filler or neurotoxin injections in the past 2 weeks, and chemical peels in the past 2-3 months

• Tattoos or permanent makeup in the treatment area or where the neutralizing pad is applied

• Autoimmune disease

• Medications that alter hemostasis or the healing response

• History of healing problems

• Neuropathic disorders, impaired skin sensation, or diabetic neuropathy

• Implanted cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)

It is recommended to avoid the following after a Potenza™: applying makeup on the face for 12 hours, exposure to direct sunlight, exposure to extreme high or low temperatures, and visiting saunas or steam baths.
